Ayodhya Verdict Live Updates: Historic Verdict, Disputed Land Will Be Given For Temple, Alternative Land For Mosque

Ayodhya Verdict Live Updates:  historic verdict, disputed land will be given for temple, alternative land for mosque

Ayodhya Verdict Today Live Updates: Supreme Court has given a historic verdict on the Ayodhya case.  The Supreme Court has ordered that within three to four months the central government should prepare a plan for the establishment of the trust.  The Supreme Court has given the verdict to hand over the disputed land to the temple.  Apart from this, the court has asked that a suitable alternative plot of 5 acres of land in Ayodhya be given to the Sunni Waqf Board.

The Supreme Court in its much-awaited landmark judgment on Saturday said that the structure below the disputed site in Ayodhya was not Islamic but the Archaeological Survey of India did not prove that the temple was demolished for the construction of the mosque.  A five-member constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi made this remark in its judgment on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute.

Other members of the Constitution bench include Justice SA Bobde, Justice Dhananjay Y Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice S Abdul Nazir.  The Constitution Bench said that just giving one opinion to the archaeological evidence would be a great injustice to the Archaeological Survey of India.

The court said that Hindus consider the disputed land as the birthplace of Lord Rama and Muslims also say the same about this place.  The belief of Hindus is undisputed that the birthplace of Lord Rama is a collapsed structure.  The bench said that the presence of Sita Rasoi, Ram Chabutra and Bhandar Griha testify to the facts of this place being religious.  The apex court also held that the decision of ownership cannot be taken only on the basis of faith and trust and these are the indicators for deciding the dispute.

Ayodhya case: Supreme Court said this

The Supreme Court held that the evidence that the outer space was occupied by Hindus was not occupied by Muslims.  But Muslims also continued to offer namaz in the interior.  The Supreme Court said that the details of the passengers need to be looked into carefully, while the Gazette has confirmed the evidence.  However, ownership cannot be decided on the basis of faith.

Government disputed land as per revenue records:

The Supreme Court held that the disputed land is government-owned according to revenue records.  ASI report is valid at Ram Janmabhoomi.  The issue of Idgah at the site is an afterthought which was raised by the Muslim side following the ASI report.  There is no evidence that there was a mosque here between the 12th and 16th centuries.  The Supreme Court said that this is the belief that Ram was in the middle of the central dome.
